Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Plastics Manufacturing industry. Located in MENDON, Michigan, this role involves overseeing and executing essential accounting functions, maintaining a thorough understanding of our financial systems and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Performing payroll functions and ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll tax calculations.

• Utilizing ERP/MRP Software Applications for various accounting tasks.

• Processing supplier invoices and payments, ensuring adherence to departmental procedures.

• Verifying AP and AR accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.

• Assisting with quarter and year-end payroll processes and reporting, including benefit plan audits and 5500 census reporting.

• Preparing necessary documents to produce financial statements, periodic reports, and year-end audit work papers.

• Participating in annual physical inventory process and developing an understanding of company banking policies and procedures.

• Developing detailed knowledge of data/information flow through ERP system.

• Managing incoming AP invoice emails and preparing documents to set up new suppliers and customers in ERP system. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor in a plastics manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in using ADP - Financial Services for accounting purposes

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP solutions

• Capable of overseeing all accounting functions within a company

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge and skills in auditing procedures and practices

• Capable of handling billing functions efficiently

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proven leadership and management abilities

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Familiarity with industry regulations and guidelines.
