We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedAssistant General Managerto join our team atBlack Horse Tavern & Pub. TheAssistant General Managerwill play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of quality, service, and guest satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
Operations Management:
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and inventory management.
Monitor and maintain quality standards for food, service, and cleanliness to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Team Leadership:
Lead by example, providing guidance, support, and training to front-of-house and back-of-house staff to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Schedule and coordinate staffing levels to meet business needs while controlling labor costs and maximizing efficiency.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to encourage professional growth and development.
Guest Experience:
Interact with guests to ensure their needs are met and address any concerns or issues promptly and courteously.
Foster a culture of hospitality and guest satisfaction among staff, emphasizing the importance of delivering exceptional service with every interaction.
Monitor guest feedback and reviews, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance the overall dining experience.
Financial Management:
Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts, working to achieve revenue and profitability targets while controlling expenses.
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify trends and areas of opportunity for operational improvement.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and revenue-generating strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality and service standards.
What You'll Need:
Previous experience in a leadership role within the restaurant industry, preferably in a full-service dining environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
Proficiency in restaurant management software.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, cost control, and menu development.
A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
