Job Title: Research Scientist IIIGrade: 25Salary: $88,938 - $101,067The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time, salaried position for a Research Scientist III. This position will oversee data collection and reporting for New York State crisis initiatives including the 988 line, Mobile Crisis Teams, Crisis Stabilization Centers, and CPEP programs at the New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS OMH). Reporting of Qualified Entities (QE) data will also be required. This position is embedded in the Office of Population Health and Evaluation, Division of Data and Analytics. NYS Office of Mental Health initiatives focused on the mental health crisis system and improving provider communications. The goals of these initiatives include improving the coordination of emergency and crisis response systems, supporting referrals, facilitating communication and interoperability between outpatient providers and crisis providers, and enhancing the oversight of crisis systems. The research scientist will help to coordinate crisis program reporting, data analysis, help lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary data team. Specifically, this position will be responsible for overseeing the data collection and reporting from each of New York State’s crisis programs into a data repository. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the public mental health system, including crisis response, and ability to provide timely, accurate quality reports to be widely disseminated as well as ability to work as part of a team and manage multiple priorities.Note: this position does not provide relocation assistance. Duties and Responsibilities:•Disseminating consistent data guidance across programs, •Ensuring that data collection is complete and accurate, •Assisting in ongoing quality checks on data received from programs, and •Creating reports outlining crisis program variables and outcomes, as well as handling all data and reporting in accordance with HIPAA. Minimum Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree and four years of professional research experience in an appropriate field or master’s degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year of experience, or Ph.D. in an appropriate field may substitute for an additional year of experience.
