Baptist Memorial Trainer-Registration - MG CBO Registration in Memphis, Tennessee

Summary

This position is responsible for providing education/training to new hires and for on-going education to staff across the organization. This position is also accountable for the on-going development, implementation and monitoring of the quality of information input into the system during the process of scheduling, insurance, pre-registration and registration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct registration and scheduling education/training to staff

  • Responsible for identifying and developing competencies for staff

  • Assist in the development and update of all training materials

  • Responsible for the success of all assigned registration related revenue cycle activities.

  • Provides guidance and development for best practices related to appointment scheduling, registration and front desk workflows.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent in healthcare business related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Baptist OneCare Credentialed Trainer (EPIC - Cadence) CHAA(Certified Health Access Associate)

Minimum: Minimum High School Diploma CHAA(Certified Health Access Associate) certified or obtain within a year of employment.

Experience

Minimum: Five years or more physician practice experience to include patient registration and insurance verification or related area. In-depth knowledge and understanding of both governmental and commercial payers. Must be knowledgeable of the revenue cycle and practice management systems.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

Minimum: CHAA

Special Skills

Preferred: Previous teaching or training experience desired.

Minimum: Ability to demonstrate effective training skills is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required with the ability to develop strong, collaborative relationships with individuals from various levels of the organization. Judgment and initiative requires as the Registration Training Specialist is accountable for accuracy and timelines of work that impacts the entire physician revenue cycle.

Training

Preferred: Proficiency in EPIC practice management

Minimum: Possess basic computer skills, basic knowledge of Microsoft Word or Excel, medical terminology, registration and insurance verification processes.
