Description

We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Tax/Audit Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing intricate tax returns, executing audits, and providing advisory services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

• Conduct detailed audit, review, and compilation procedures for various types of financial statements and industries.

• Plan financial audits by understanding organization objectives, structure, policies, processes, and internal controls.

• Conduct risk assessments, identify internal controls, and test and evaluate financial reporting systems.

• Examine financial and legal records to verify tax liability.

• Communicate with clients and provide advisory services.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local taxation regulations.

• Conduct Billing Functions using skills in Accounting Software Systems.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum of three years of experience in the field of Tax/Audit Accounting

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions effectively

• Strong background in Auditing or Tax

• Proficiency in managing Billing Functions

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Knowledge of current federal, state, and local tax regulations.
