Robert Half Staff Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee, 38103-2807, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating various accounting functions, maintaining the general ledger, and handling both accounts payable and receivable. You will also work on fixed assets and the productivity system.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage various accounting functions in line with established policies and procedures.

• Handle the reconciliation, analysis, and adjustment of general ledger accounts as needed.

• Ensure the accuracy of details supporting general ledger account balances.

• Prepare journal entries with high accuracy and within the stipulated deadlines.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and narratives for reporting purposes.

• Liaise with banks, tax authorities, external auditors, and other stakeholders concerning financial information or data.

• Share in the responsibility of maintaining the general ledger system and provide coverage for relief and absences as required.

• Undertake special projects and financial analysis as needed.

• Manage all aspects of fixed assets, including processing and reviewing capital requisition, recording capital disposals, and preparing and reconciling month-end fixed assets reports.

• Oversee accounts receivable, including daily reconciliation to the subsidiary, preparing monthly invoices, recording incoming revenue, and maintaining schedules of miscellaneous revenue and outgoing collection agency expenses.

• Observe physical inventories for various departments semi-annually, reconcile and maintain physical counts from the subsidiaries to the general ledger account balances.

• Download labor management productivity system data and generate required productivity reports per established deadlines.

• Utilize accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to optimize processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to manage General Ledger

• Skilled in preparing Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks

• Experience with Oracle software for accounting functions

• Knowledge of QuickBooks for financial data management

• Familiarity with SAP for business process management
