Adaptec Solutions is a top-ten, North American integration partner engineering diverse material handling and automation solutions with lifecycle service support for manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing companies.

This idea candidate will be based within a 2 hour radius of our Memphis, TN location*

JOB SUMMARY:

The focus of this position to sell Adaptec Solutions products, services, and solutions to both new and existing customers.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospecting and cold calling designated accounts.

  • Managing existing customer relationships to develop new opportunities.

  • Quote products, integrated systems, and installations. Focus on material handling and engineered product sales.

  • Manage all aspects of quoting process (estimating, design, presentation, acceptance, implementation).

  • Working knowledge of material handling products and systems.

  • Work with engineering team to develop systems and solutions.

  • Work with installation team/operations manager to coordinate installation.

  • Regular travel to visit with customer and prospects is expected. Limited to a geographic region. Overnight travel is possible, but rare. Travel for manufacturer training and Adaptec Sales Meetings may be required, 1-2 times per year.

  • Working both from the office and remote is expected.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background, preferred.

  • Project Management Experience, preferred.

    SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB:

  • Experience in mechanical or technical sales.

  • Strong understanding of the application of material handling and engineered products.

  • CAD background is helpful.

  • Outside sales experience with direct end users.

  • Solution-based approach.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

$65,000 - $95,000 + Commission. The salary range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Adaptec Solutions considers factors including, but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, market and business considerations, as well as the candidate’s work experience, key skills, and education/training.
