Robert Half Procurement Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. This position will oversee and manage key contract agreements and procurement activities within various departments. The ideal candidate will provide strategic procurement support, analyze data to track usage and costs, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Requirements Contract Management: Manage contract agreements relevant to specific departments for special events or crisis management needs. Ensure contract compliance by tracking performance metrics, usage, revenue/expenses, and analyzing data. Prepare detailed reports on oversight areas. Monitor budgets associated with auxiliary services to ensure accuracy and compliance. Procurement & Negotiation: Prepare, recommend, and negotiate complex leases for equipment, materials, supplies, and services. Receive, evaluate, analyze, and present bid responses in alignment with established specifications, terms, and conditions. Provide recommendations for appropriate procurement actions. Stakeholder Support: Offer guidance to diverse stakeholders on leases, equipment, and software-related issues. Assist in the development, interpretation, and revision of technical specifications for procurement and leasing. Align practices with applicable laws and policies governing public contracting and purchasing. Vendor Performance & Compliance: Evaluate, recommend, and implement price and performance standards for vendors to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies. Conduct performance reviews with vendors and provide feedback for improvement. Market Research & Sourcing: Engage with representatives of current and prospective vendors to discuss product specifications, new offerings, trade practices, pricing, and availability. Identify and recommend alternative sources for supplies and services to address business needs and expand the supply base when required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management. Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a proven ability to evaluate data and draw actionable insights. In-depth knowledge of procurement laws, public contracting regulations, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
