Aerotek PLC Electrical Maintenance Technician in Memphis, Tennessee

Job Title: PLC Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled PLC Technician capable of troubleshooting and performing industrial and electrical repairs on various machines including a 3-year-old extrusion machine, presses, and CNC machines. The ideal candidate will engage in rewiring 3 phase 480v motors, working with relays, handling PLC tasks including ladder logic and minor editing, monitoring PH levels, voltage, and conductivity meters, setting parameters for VFDs, and conducting repairs on the paint line. Additionally, the role requires welding and fabrication skills to use welding equipment, make basic brackets, and fabricate components as needed.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Memphis, Tennessee.

Work Environment

This role operates in a second shift from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm with potential overtime, averaging 10 hours per week. The work environment is both indoor and outdoor, characterized by high temperatures, noise, and dirt, especially during summer, and cold during winter. The maintenance tasks involve working near or on high-speed manufacturing equipment including extrusion machines which can further increase the heat within the facility. The facility houses around 200 pieces of equipment that require maintenance attention at times.
