Robert Half Medical Billing Manager in Memphis, Tennessee
Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Manager to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. The main function of this role is to supervise the processing of customer applications, ensure the correctness of customer records, address customer inquiries, and monitor customer accounts. Our industry is dynamic and requires a meticulous individual.
Responsibilities:
• Direct and manage a team to achieve monthly objectives
• Maintain clear and effective communication through various channels such as phone, fax, and written correspondences
• Supervise the review and analysis of medical records and patient information for accurate coding and billing
• Ensure the application of ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting
• Respond to requests for medical records promptly
• Incorporate detailed, clear notes into the billing system outlining all activities performed on patient accounts
• Work closely with Providers and other departments to confirm the accuracy of diagnosis, date of service, and procedural codes
• Supervise the printing of statements and CMS-1500 claim forms
• Manage the scanning and emailing of patient's bills and records after final review of chart
• Supervise daily charge entries
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address issues
• Maintain a strong focus on details and work ethic
• Assist in other areas of the billing department as needed
• Ensure punctuality and reliability. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with Concur
• Skills in Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to work with About Time software
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Demonstrated ability in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in Auditing
• Understanding of ICD-10 medical coding
• Familiarity with CMS 1500 claim forms
