Job Summary

The Financial Analyst performs high-level accounting activities related to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resulting managerial reports and financial statements. This position uses analytical skills to review various activities primarily around Commercial Rebates and ensures compliance with SOX controls. This position is also responsible for providing and presenting information and reports to cross-functional departments and business partners as needed, and proactively addressing and resolving any work-related issues or concerns in the functional area.

Key Responsibilities

· Creates, maintains, and updates assigned financial reports, summary ledgers, schedules, journal entries, balance sheets, and layouts

· Provides information and reports to functional areas as needed, ensuring timely follow-up to address any questions or concerns regarding the data

· Performs all tasks related to month end, period close, quarter close, and year-end close functions

· Processes and analyzes complex financial data

· Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements

· Creates and maintains process documentation

· Creates and updates reporting tools for end-users and others

· Detects, troubleshoots resolves, and communicates to others any issues affecting financial reporting and business operations

· Uses planning software (e.g., PeopleSoft, ODS) and provides end-user training

· Cross trains with other team members on critical report processes

Education and/or Experience

REQUIRED:

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

· 3-5 y ears of finance, accounting, or audit-related work experience

· General proficiency in MS Office programs (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED:

· Master’s Degree

· Month-end close and reconciliation experience a plus

· CPA candidate
