Description

Perform detailed analytics and financial modeling to support the evaluation of loan portfolios. Help identify and design new methods of analysis. Conduct economic, industry and company specific research and incorporate into proprietary analytical model and customer communication. Prepare presentations in order to enhance marketing efforts of the Capital Assets team. Assist in the underwriting, due diligence and delivery of certain loan transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior managers of Capital Assets and within a group of analysts in the financial analysis of potential and pending deals.

  • Gain in-depth understanding of financial modeling techniques and the ability to handle assignments independently.

  • Competency in large database management as well as identify new methods of analysis including the integration of new databases into existing analytical framework.

  • Create specific models for unique transactions, including M&A projects.

  • Analyze market and financial institutions in order to identify loan management and trading opportunities.

  • Stay abreast of industry conditions and assist in developing customer recommendations.

  • Evaluate economic databases and research for inclusion in proprietary analysis.

  • Incorporate research and analysis information into marketing presentations.

  • Assist in the due diligence, file review and delivery of certain loan transactions

  • Work on design and update of loan underwriting platform

  • Present data in a professional manner with the goal of soliciting future business and enhancing current business.

  • Attends and participate in business-related meetings, presentations to clients and travel as needed.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics.

  • MBA, preferred

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other presentation/valuation software and navigate the Internet for research purposes. Detailed experience using Excel and building financial models would be preferred.

  • Knowledge of VBA and SQL a plus. Demonstrate ability to learn how to trouble-shoot VBA functions.

  • Show the ability to interact with clients and make presentations in the future.

  • Show initiative and demonstrate leadership ability when needed
