Description Are you a detail-oriented detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a passion for procurement? We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team. As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in managing the procurement process, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures. Formal Solicitations: Process formal solicitations including Sealed Bids, Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Quotations (RFQ), and Requests for Information (RFI). Execute awards through purchase orders or contracts. Informal Solicitations: Handle informal solicitations as assigned, ensuring proper execution of awards via purchase orders or contracts. Timely and Accurate Execution: Complete all assigned tasks within established timelines while maintaining accuracy. User Department Support: Support and informally train user departments as needed to facilitate smooth purchasing processes. Problem Solving: Identify purchasing concerns, provide suggestions, and participate in resolutions when necessary. Spreadsheet Maintenance: Monitor and keep purchasing spreadsheets updated to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Team Collaboration: Serve as a backup for other Buyers during their absence, providing seamless support when required. Communication Excellence: Maintain outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with user departments and vendors. Other Duties: Perform other related duties as required or directed by management. Requirements Qualifications: Proven experience in procurement or related fields. Strong understanding of solicitation processes (Sealed Bids, RFP, RFQ, RFI). Familiarity with purchasing policies, procedures, and ordinances. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.
