Aerotek Building Maintenance Technician (Birmingham, AL) in Memphis, Tennessee

Job Title: Commercial Maintenance Technician

Job Description: Perform maintenance tasks (painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, cleaning, welding, drywall, locks) at commercial outlets. Must communicate well with customers and be technically proficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive 500-2000 miles/week (mileage reimbursed)

  • Complete various maintenance work orders

  • Communicate with customers

  • Work mainly alone, seek help when needed

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years in commercial electrical and plumbing

  • Experience in painting, drywall, masonry, welding, and locks

  • Comfortable driving long distances

  • Valid driver's license and insurance

  • Proficient with ADP app for logging hours

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Own necessary hand tools

  • Recommended PPE: steel-toe boots, masks, respirators, harnesses, goggles, gloves

Work Environment:

  • Monday to Friday, 7am-6pm (30-minute lunch), optional Saturdays

  • 10-20 hours overtime weekly

  • Mix of indoor/outdoor work, 3-8 clients/day

  • Extensive travel

  • Communicate with store managers, log hours, submit work orders, review stops

  • Training provided during the first week

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
