Baptist Memorial Admissions Counselor in Memphis, Tennessee
Summary
Supervises and coordinates major operational functions of the Office of Admissions, including management of the admissions process for applicants and prospects; coordination of recruitment, development and implementation of on-campus admissions events; coordination of the admissions process for accelerated programs. Represents BCHS at community/regional recruitment activities, serves as primary liaison with high school and two-year college counselors; assists with developing marketing materials and recruitment strategies to attract prospective students and coordinates admission process for applicants. Under the direction of the Director of Admissions. Responsible for all functions 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday.
Responsibilities
Co-develops and executes the College's Admissions and Recruitment Plan in collaboration with the Director of Admissions.
Manages and supervises the admissions process for all applicants to the college; assesses, evaluates, and interprets applicants' admissions documents to determine eligibility; manages applicant files.
Supervises all facets of coordinating and processing prospective students and contacts in the prospective student pool, in order to encourage and facilitate enrollment of qualified applicants.
Plans and implements the on-campus admissions process for prospective students, including individual campus visits and admissions events, such as BCHS Open Houses, Salute to Scholars, Accelerated Program Open Houses, Interest Sessions, and New Student Receptions in collaboration with the Director of Admissions.
Coordinates, schedules, and attends college fairs and admissions visits to area high schools, two-year colleges, and hospitals.
Coordinates and implements all facets of the admissions process for the College's accelerated programs.
Responsible to perform the duties of the Director of Admissions as needed in his/her absence.
Performs related accountabilities as required or directed.

Desired: Two (2) years or more experience in undergraduate or graduate college admissions, and/or graduation from Baptist College.
