Description

• Handles receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization.

• Coordinates with sales and services departments for any discrepancies in invoices and payments.

• Prepares and sends invoices to clients.

• Maintains updated records of invoices and receipts.

• Monitors customer account details including payment history and credit line.

• Undertakes the tasks of receiving payments, ensuring the correctness of receipts with compliance to credibility.

• Follows up with clients on overdue accounts and ensures appropriate actions are taken till the payment is received.

• Processes adjustments or credits as needed.

• Reconciles the accounts receivables' ledger to ensure payments are correctly accounted for.

• Prepares monthly financial and management reports relating to Accounts Receivables.

• Ensures compliance with company’s policies in relation to invoicing and collections.

• Assists in the improvement of the department's processes and policies.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field.

• Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role.

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.

• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records.

• Proficient in relevant computer software (e.g. QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel).

• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• A team player with high level of dedication.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
