Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a great company located in Memphis, Tennessee. The selected candidate will be tasked with managing the accounts payable cycle, reconciling ledgers, and assisting with various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently processing invoices, matching them to purchase orders, and entering them into the accounting system.

• Maintaining and reconciling the accounts payable ledger.

• Addressing and resolving discrepancies in billings and payments.

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing vendors.

• Comparing purchase orders, prices, and terms for accuracy and consistency.

• Assisting with the month-end close process.

• Reviewing and coding purchase card expenses.

• Conducting balance sheet accounts reconciliation.

• Preparing necessary documentation for external auditor requests.

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, including KPI analysis.

• Ensuring detailed accuracy in all work assignments.

• Suggesting process improvement ideas to optimize efficiency.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations

• Demonstrated ability to code invoices accurately

• Experience with 3 Way Matching in a financial setting

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
