Job Title: Entry Level Analyst

Job Description

This position is responsible for identifying and developing new bid opportunities within area of responsibility; preparing and coordinating bids, quotes, proposals; and sales plan. The candidate will interface daily with various customers, vendors, and other members of the team to create, develop, and maintain accurate and timely bids and quotes. Proficient in MS Office Excel (Access a plus). Ability to learn new applications quickly and have strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to take the initiative to function independently. Evaluate the procedures in the department and recommend improved methods of bid/quote processing, reporting, and controls.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Math, or Statistics, preferably)

  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)

  • Proficient in MS Office Excel

  • Ability to learn new applications quickly

  • Analytically minded

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to take initiative

  • Function independently

  • Evaluate and recommend improved methods

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

This is the Global HQ for a billion dollar company. Very professional, corporate environment. They will be interacting with the Purchasing and Sales departments. Growth potential is a key selling point. This is one of the largest public company on Long Island and was recently added to the S&P 500 index. There is significant exposure to the corporate world. Business casual dress code.
