Power Plant Services Shipping and Receiving Associate in Melrose Park, Illinois
JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the shipping and receiving department, you’ll be involved in the shipment and receipt of products, materials, and supplies. Collaborating with Quality, Customer Service representatives, Manufacturing & Purchasing staff to ensure smooth operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
Coordinates the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
Tracks, traces, and provide updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
2-4 years of Manufacturing experience
Basic PC skills
Be willing to work more than 40 hours a week to meet tight deadlines
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred.
