Description:

Reporting to the Manager of the Medical Staff Office Coordinator at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, the Credential Verification Specialist will support processing of all initial appointments and reappointments of clinical faculty and physicians appointed at GMH. In addition, this position provides support to the medical staff office at GMH.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Process all medical staff initial appointments and reappointments for GMH medical staff.

  • Develops initial appointment and reappointment profiles on a monthly basis.

  • Assists with drafting of initial appointment and reappointment letters following approval, running practitioner profiles to post, data entry into MSOW.

  • Tracks reappointment dates.

  • Prepares resignations and enters into MSOW.

  • Performs data entry into MSOW. Updates malpractice insurance, license and office information on monthly basis.

  • Creates monthly meeting material for the Credentials Committee.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education.

  • Preferred: Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 - 3 years of college

  • 1-2 years of previous job-related experience, 3-5 years preferred.
