Medic Air Systems Inc Field Service Technician - HVAC in Melbourne, Florida

Medic Air Systems, Inc. was founded in 1996 as an HVAC Services Contractor providing due diligence to Medical Facilities. We continued as a full high quality Mechanical Contractor providing HVAC, Plumbing and Medical Gas piping, equipment installations and Certification of Medical Facilities, Hospitals and Nursing Care Centers throughout the state of Florida as well as Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and beyond as our customers’ needs prevail. Our company has not only shown significant growth over the past several years, during the industry's hard times, but we forecast continued growth over the next several years due to our specialized field. Our Service Department is recognized throughout as the premier Health Care Service Center meeting all demands and expectations; while we provide high quality new construction services to our repeat customers and to new customers.

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking skilled field service technicians with a minimum of 5 years HVAC experience commercial and/or working in medical facilities. The service technician must have a clear knowledge and understanding of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning requirements and operations of medical facilities. The service technician must be able to coordinate with dispatch, responding to urgent service calls and quickly be able to diagnose and troubleshoot various heating and cooling systems issues, perform repairs or replacement of equipment, refrigeration, ventilation, A/C, heating, control systems and humidity and temperature control systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing commercial/industrial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems.

  • Ability to keep assigned company van at personal residence.

  • Flexibility for travel and working overtime/weekends, as required.

  • Ability to build strong customer relationships through knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations and preventative maintenance.

  • Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, specifications and schematics.

  • Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment.

  • Provides startups and troubleshooting for a variety of commercial HVAC systems, meets with customers, evaluates their needs and makes recommendations.

  • Responsible for maintaining vehicle by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling and completing repairs and maintenance service.

  • Ability to comprehensibly document and submit electronically, work orders, receipts and additional paperwork to dispatching at the completion of each job.

    Requirements:

  • 5 years’ service experience specific to Medical Facilities.

  • EPA Universal Certified is required.

  • Will be professional, clean appearance, and honor drug-free workplace.

  • Must have a valid current drivers's license.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical and control systems.

  • Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics.

  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative in servicing customers and maintaining positive customer relations.
