The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator. The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing system installations, monitoring and maintaining IT servers, and evaluating new server hardware and software. Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Leading the effort to evaluate current systems processes

  • Propose strategic options and improvements, analyzing system and user needs

  • Recommending and performing upgrades

  • Completing scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance, as well as administering, servicing, and contracting for the production and development of platforms

  • Recommending infrastructure changes and improvements.

  • Telecommuting from home is available.

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field

  • 5 years of Information Technology experience.

  • Experience with computer programming, and knowledge of VOIP, ACD routing and telephony, and API integration is also required.
