Position Purpose: Responsible for moving material throughout the plant. Hourly or Salary Range: $17.75 - $20.75 Essential Functions: Maintain Environmental, Health and Safety standards in the workplace Operate forklift and all other material handling equipment assigned to the department Moves material to all operations throughout the department Follows run list as written by the supervisor Distribute work orders as needed Unload and load trucks as needed Works well independently and with supervision and co-workers Willingness to run other machines when needed such as but not limited to Heat Treat, Hobbs & Rack Roller Always work in a safe manner Always keep work area clean Other duties as assignedEducation and Training: High School Diploma or GEDMinimum Qualifications: Certified to drive a forklift and other material handling equipment as needed Good verbal and written communication skills Basic math skills Physical Demands: Ability to drive a forklift continuously for 8 - 12 hours Ability to work in tight places Ability to work outdoors for an extended period in extreme weather conditions Ability to lift 20 pounds repetitively Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform repairs, use ladders and perform various types of manual labor Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills Visual (with correction) sufficient to read work orders and packing slips and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer Demonstrate dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations Environmental Conditions: Exposure to a noisy work environment Exposure to hot and humid conditions Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water Ear and Eye protection always required in all production areas Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards required in production areaHendrickson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
