The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to fill the role of Global Program Management Practice Leader. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping and driving our project management practices on a global scale. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of project management methodologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and regions. Your Impact Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a global project management strategy and standards aligned with organizational goals. Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the project management practice. Enhance and maintain the AspenTech Professional Services Project Management governance framework, including project management methodologies, standards, and processes. Team Management: Lead and mentor a global team of project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Provide guidance on project management tools, templates, and techniques to ensure successful delivery across regions and projects. Oversee resource and capacity management inputs for Project Management function including utilization and resourcing needs and assignments. Recruit, train, and develop project management staff to ensure a high level of competence and effectiveness. Methodology Development: Define and refine project management methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and drive consistency and efficiency in project delivery. Establish and communicate standardized processes for project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, auditing, and closure. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including executives, project managers, technical staff, finance, and other team members, to ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals. Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams, promoting effective communication and collaboration. Generate regular reports for senior management on project status, risks, audits, and opportunities. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate portfolio risks, ensuring proactive risk management strategies are in place. Implement lessons learned framework from completed projects to enhance future outcomes. Create a risk-aware and mitigation-driven culture within the organization. Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of projects and the overall effectiveness of the project management function. Analyze data and metrics to drive data-driven decision-making. Global Collaboration: Work seamlessly across different regions, understanding and addressing cultural aspects that influence project management results. Foster a cohesive global project management community through knowledge sharing and collaboration platforms. Regional Accountability: Direct supervision of project management resources in the US region for OSI Professional Services What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 12+ years of experience in project management required, with a demonstrated track record of successful delivery of increasingly complex programs. Proven experience in global program management leadership roles is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively ith diverse stakeholders, in customer-facing roles. Strategic mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives.
