Timber Products Company Production Supervisor II-Plywood in Medford, Oregon
POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the company in meeting its production goals by supervising all activities of employees in an assigned manufacturing process and shift; ensures a safe and efficient work environment by communicating and managing Company established quality, production, safety and human resource policies.
MAJOR TASKS
• Supervises the production process while managing staff, equipment and materials to achieve the highest safety, quality and production levels.
• Maintains quality control standards to maximize company profitability and achieve customer satisfaction.
• Conducts individual meetings and leads crew meetings to communicate pertinent information to employees.
• Completes administrative paperwork and reporting related to production reports, scheduling, personnel actions, payroll and safety.
• Responsible for supporting and enforcing company policies and procedures.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT: Day (7:00am – 3:00pm), Swing (3:00pm – 11:00pm), or Graveyard (11:00pm – 7:00am)
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• A BA/BS degree in business administration, production management or related field preferred, but not required
• Two to four years of supervisory experience, preferably in wood products or other manufacturing environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and concerns
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Leadership and motivational skills that allow candidates to achieve productivity, quality and safety goals
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail, and ability to learn and use company specific software
