Robert Half HR Generalist 1 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a HR Generalist 1 in MECHANICSBURG, Pennsylvania. As a HR Generalist 1, you will serve as a crucial link between management and employees, interpreting and administering contracts, and assisting with resolving work-related issues. You will also contribute to enhancing company productivity, improving performance, and driving better business results.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between management and employees, addressing inquiries and helping to resolve work-related problems.

• Assist in the interpretation and administration of contracts.

• Advise managers on organizational policy matters, ensuring compliance with equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment regulations.

• Conduct orientation for new team members and support strategic planning.

• Support the HR manager with collection of necessary documents and paperwork for dispute resolution and disciplinary procedures.

• Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel and other computer applications in daily tasks.

• Ensure understanding and application of legal policies and procedures related to recruitment practices, such as equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.

• Maintain knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems.

• Use excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide top-notch customer service.

• Utilize your interpersonal skills and ability to work independently to manage your time effectively. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in customer service

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Proven experience in planning and strategic planning

• Familiarity with standard procedures and policies in HR administration

• Knowledge of human resources practices and principles

• Experience in drafting and managing contracts

• Proficiency in using the 'About Time' management software

• Understanding of benefit functions and employee benefit plans

• Familiarity with hiring processes, including interviewing and paperwork

• Ability to improve productivity through effective practices

• Excellent interpersonal skills for communication and dispute resolution

• Experience in cost analysis related to HR functions

• Strong written communication skills for clear and concise correspondence

• Familiarity with 'Scale Out' and other computer programs used in HR

• Ability to interpret policy, contracts, and other related documents
