Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Description

We are actively seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist located on-site in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing large volumes of invoices, and managing customer inquiries with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action as needed

  • Process a high volume of invoices with careful attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in general ledger coding and obtaining proper approvals

  • Enter all payable information into Oracle with precision, using invoices received via Markview and KTM

  • Conduct audits of invoices for accuracy of entry and completeness of information provided

  • Prepare checks for mailing promptly and in accordance with company policy

  • Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies, flagging any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices

  • Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently

  • Assist and notify Vendor Maintenance with vendor changes/corrections, providing W-9 and invoice information when new vendors are set up

  • Work with the field to ensure W-9’s are received when new vendor set ups are needed but no W-9 submitted

  • Maintain a high level of focus and attention to detail, performing effectively under pressure and meeting all requested deadlines.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately code invoices

  • Experience in invoice entry and processing

  • Advanced understanding of financial transactions and processes

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies

  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems

  • Excellent data entry skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
