Location: Mechanic Falls, Maine

ITW Electrostatics, a division of Illinois Tool Works and part of the Test, Measurement, and Electronics segment, is seeking a Production Manager with automotive industry experience to oversee and optimize our production operations. This is a key leadership role with upward mobility and added responsibility planned within 12-24 months. We are a Fortune 200 company and a leader in manufacturing static control devices, serving a variety of industries, including the automotive and electric vehicle market .

  • Production Manager – Fast-Track to Operations: This position is designed to transition into an Operations Leadership role within 12-24 months, overseeing production, sourcing, logistics, and overall operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management: Develop and implement production schedules to meet demands and deadlines, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support frontline supervisors, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Train and mentor team members, encouraging growth and advancement.

  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions, coordinating with engineering and facilities teams for equipment upgrades and repairs.

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA standards, promote a culture of safety, and implement safety protocols throughout the production area.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, procurement, and customer service teams to adjust production levels in response to changing demands.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze production data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report directly to senior leadership.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Automotive Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years in production management or supervisory roles in the automotive industry is required. Experience with electric vehicle parts production is highly desirable.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing production teams, motivating staff, and driving performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and other process optimization techniques – not required – but would be a very solid plus.

  • Safety Expertise: Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations, with a focus on ensuring safe working conditions and compliance in a manufacturing setting.

  • Education: High School diploma is required; bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $135,000.00 per year
