Labs Incubator Intern - Summer 2025

Key Role Details

• This is a paid internship that is full time, requiring 40 hours per week.

• Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model (https://www.capitalonecareers.com/a-hybrid-work-model-at-capital-one-101#::text=How%20our%20hybrid%20model%20works,independent%20and%20heads%2Ddown%20work.) , for the duration of the program.

Basic Qualifications

• Current student of the University of Maryland, College Park; University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that your most recent degree program will be obtained by August 2026 or earlier (for example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2025 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2026, then your most recent full-time degree program is your Master’s degree)

• Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship

• At least 1 year of experience with Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently earning a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study

• At least 1 year of experience with machine learning and various subfields (deep learning, Graph ML, NLP, explainability, etc.)

• At least 1 year of experience with relational databases

• At least 1 year of experience with large scale data analytics

• At least 1 year of experience with AWS

• Demonstrated experience in contributing to open source projects and proficient use of Git/GitHub

• Strong understanding of version control and collaborative development practices
