Hilton Director, HSM Customer Engagement (Luxury & Lifestyle) in McLean, Virginia

This is your chance to be part of Hilton Supply Management (HSM) team supporting our operators, owners, and industry-leading brands! As the Director, you will develop and lead a focused sales strategy by establishing goals, leading strategies and ensuring accurate follow-up protocol is implemented. You will partner with other strategic resources to tap into the full potential of the HSM supplier network. You will handle sales opportunities from inception through contracting phase while building relationships with partners through signed agreements. As part of the Customer Engagement team, you will report to the Sr. Director of Customer Engagement. Your focus will be in the Luxury/Lifestyle environment, connecting with hospitality owners, managers, and partners in procurement. Your skills in Sales, Account Management, partnership building along with a general understanding of the buying process will provide you with an all-encompassing role at HSM. Luxury and Lifestyle is a growing sector of the hospitality industry and provide you an opportunity to work with key decision makers in procurement.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Partake in planning and execution of the communication strategy
  • Direct methodologies by which the objectives for the business will be accomplished
  • Utilize appropriate technology platforms (Salesforce) to develop and maintain customer database, pertinent sales information and produce regular sales reports
  • Implement and maintain systems to collect market data producing sales leads
  • Ensure business plan and goals are being followed and achieved, providing feedback or revising the plan
  • Monitor and manage return on invested capital, time resources and budget

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Collaborate with customer engagement and account management to ensure upcoming contract signings can be implemented and customer needs will be met
  • Help manage data collection for competitive analysis and prepare to share the information promptly

What you will take ownership of:

  • Manage customer relationships, engaging them in value-added activities
  • Ability to understand, present and explain complex purchasing programs to customers in sales presentations
  • Represent the department at multiple conferences and trade shows, collect new leads and establish potential new customer relationships

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of work experience in Sales and/or Supply Chain Operations
  • Four (4) years experience presenting to customers
  • Travel up to 40%

It would be useful if you have:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects
  • Supply chain sales experience
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Knowledge of hospitality supply chain management
