Department Summary:

Corporate Real Estate (CRE) is responsible for managing the Real Estate infrastructure and related business processes ​​​​​​to support our FFRDC goals and our sponsors' mission outcomes. We develop and maintain a physical infrastructure and supporting business processes to effectively enable MITRE’s Good Growth strategy…empowering our staff to act as the connector.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Creating, executing, and sustaining a viable system for managing project schedules.

  • Establishing a process that effectively serves the specific requirements of the project while being adaptable, flexible, and simple to use at the same time.

  • Develop precise and comprehensive schedules which guarantee each team member's involvement.

  • Track progress in relation to the timetable, recognize potential risks and problems, and make required adjustments to sustain the project's development.

  • Keeping track of project deadlines and schedules.

  • Revising project timelines, tracking development within project output, and targeting potential dangers and issues with the timetable.

  • Responsible for gathering data for the project, analyzing it, and creating reports to aid in decision-making while making sure that the project stays on track to achieve its goals.

  • Synthesize information across multiple schedules and routinely and concisely present the schedules to management.

  • Collaborating with team members and external partners to organize project timetables.

  • Tight collaboration with project managers, technical experts, and other stakeholders to establish project specifications and deadlines.

  • Create priorities, manage expectations, and communicate clearly with team members and partners to make sure that everyone is on board with the project's goals and objectives.

  • Detecting potential complications in the project timeline and providing prompt response.

  • Responsible for catching potential issues in the current project timeline, as well as finding ways how to resolve them.

  • Keeping a keen eye on the project schedule and identifying any potential delays or problems that are going to affect the project's timeframe.

  • Proposing strategies for maintaining projects on time and within allocated finances.

  • Offer project managers insightful advice on how to efficiently manage project resources and guarantee that the project is finished on schedule, within budget, and to the desired degree of quality.

  • Identifying potential cost-saving solutions, maximizing resource usage, and prioritizing project tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  • Minimum of three years' worth of project scheduling experience in a similar field.

  • Knowledge of developing and overseeing project schedules for tasks in a real setting with a similar level of difficulty and scale as those they are going to be working on.

  • Advanced knowledge of project planning tools such as Microsoft Projects, Monday.com, and Primavera P6

  • Ability to analyze project data and schedules.

  • Ensure all project elements are accurately scheduled.

  • Effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

  • Prioritize tasks and managing time efficiently.

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
