Are you a passionate finance professional looking to make a significant impact? Collins Aerospace Missions Systems is seeking a Program Controls Finance professional to support program leadership within the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) portfolio of programs. BMC2A and ABMS are two of the front-end facing areas within Collins Aerospace. This team is developing cutting edge technologies to keep our warfighter safe and gain a competitive advantage over our adversaries.

The Program Controls Analyst will play a critical role in driving the ABMS team success through insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations. In this position, the Program Controls Analyst will collaborate closely with the Program Manager and cross-functional leadership to understand the financial assumptions, and risks and opportunities (R&Os) to the ABMS suite of programs.

This role offers a unique blend of government, commercial, and international work making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced Program Controls professional to contribute to a complex strategic product area in a highly visible role. This position will be part of a larger Program Finance team within an exciting and growing business area that predicts $500M+ in total revenue within the next five years. By leveraging your experience, you can help the team achieve this growth. This position is a key part of a fast-paced finance team where strategic thinking, multitasking, & individual initiative are key requirements.

What You Will Do​

  • Providing cost, schedule, funding monitoring and analysis support to the Program team and management, utilizing standard company tools, & in compliance with standard processes to include:

  • On time financial maintenance & forecasting for new & existing work, Estimates at Complete, R&O management, Variance Analysis reporting, Interorganizational Transfers & associated work authorizations

  • Proactively manage monthly invoices, unbilled/billed aging issues. Preferably with experience in a cleared setting

  • Monitor costs and manpower labor on a weekly basis to ensure charges are correct and are within scope

  • Support proposal & gate reviews, prepare business cases & return on investments analysis as needed

  • Ad Hoc support & monitoring

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) responsibilities associated to program controls of the ABMS program(s)

  • Ownership, consolidation, analysis of the programs’ financial forecasts & financial presentations to leadership

  • Provide inputs for monthly forecast for orders, sales, profit, & cash flow, & perform the same effort for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) & Strategic Financial Plan (SFP)

  • Identify/quantify R&Os to ensure that the team & management are informed of the impact

  • Perform detailed analysis of variances & summary of changes to the ABMS portfolio

  • Effectively summarize complex data to facilitate decision making of management, peers, & customers

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Accounting and/or finance experience working with different government contract types

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS

  • Proficiency with MS Office products, advanced proficiency with Excel

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior Earned Value Management is preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Experience providing financial analytics and business support for contract activities

  • Detailed understanding of key financial metrics

  • Experience using SAP, APEX EV, PMX, BW, EDIT

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
