Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, strives to be the premier supplier in product quality, on-time delivery, and pre-production support to PACCAR’s Kenworth and Peterbilt truck divisions and PACCAR Parts. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is responsible for all building and production maintenance.

The Maintenance Technician is a key member of a small team responsible for the McKinney facility. All members of this team will wear multiple hats covering all functional areas of plant stabilization at our McKinney, TX facility. This is an opportunity to participate in building the foundation for the Division’s future growth. This position is for 3rd shift 10:00 pm to 6:30 am.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Perform PM, troubleshooting and breakdown repair of industrial production equipment.

  • Open and close PM’s and Work Orders in CMMS.

  • Communicate information in pass downs between shifts.

  • Perform equipment upgrades to support improvements to safety, quality and on-time shipment.

  • Assist with the design, fabrication and installation of new machines and equipment.

  • Perform facility related repairs.

  • Maintain and repair production hand tools including tool control.

  • Suggest improvements to production equipment, processes and the PM program.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Capable of troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical industrial equipment using drawings, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

  • Able to troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic power systems.

  • Able to troubleshoot, repair and rebuild equipment electrical power and control circuits.

  • Knowledge of industrial electronics including PLC trouble shooting.

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).

  • Capable of general steel fabrication using saws, torches, welders, mill and lathe.

  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to listen to and communicate clearly with others, verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated understanding of safe maintenance practices and operations, working under general supervision.

  • Candidate must have flexibility to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and weekends as needed.

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate required.

  • Post-secondary technical education preferred.

  • Minimum three years of related experience.

  • Technical associate degree preferred.
