Shifts available:

Full-time 6 am-2:30 pm

Part-time: 5 pm - 9 pm or 11:30 am - 3:30 pm.

Pay: $14.50/hr.

Job Summary:

The Custodial Service Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment in assigned areas. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring the upkeep of facilities, and providing support to other team members to promote a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in hallways, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other areas.
  • Dust and clean surfaces including desks, windowsills, and furniture.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
  • Replenish supplies in restrooms and other facilities as needed.

• Facility Upkeep:

  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Custodial Supervisor or Facility Manager.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and used appropriately.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

• Customer Service:

  • Respond to requests and concerns from staff and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Provide assistance and support during events or special activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Skills:
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Working Conditions:

• Typically works indoors in a variety of environments, including offices, classrooms, and restrooms.
• May involve occasional outdoor work or exposure to varying temperatures.
• Work hours may vary, including evenings or weekends, depending on the needs of the facility.
