JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Student Success Services (SSS) Program Academic Counselor, reporting directly to the Project Director, will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of all academic and non-academic support services and cultural activities for SSS participants, including the mentoring and counseling programs, as well as teaching supplemental/SSS classes.
This is a term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with the possibility of re-funding.
EDUCATION:
Master's degree, in a related field and one plus year of related experience.
One to three years of experience working with first-generation, low-income, and/or disabled students, particularly within a higher education setting, is most desired.
Knowledge of and training related to academic/non-academic student counseling, advising, teaching, and the creation of academic programming within a higher education setting is preferred.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$42,100.00 - $61,000.00
