We are looking for a Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager to join our Catalyst team in McIntyre, GA.

As a Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager, you create chemistry by...

  • Managing OpEx program and Quality department, including operation of the plant lab and it´s staff, and Continuous Improvement Leader.

  • Assessing existing operational, manufacturing, lab and business capabilities across the site, including monitorin and establishing key KPIs for the site.

  • Mentoring and coaching Lean/Six Sigma candidates toward completion and certification of improvement projects.

  • Designing procedures aimed at improving efficiencies, reducing cost and variability, eliminating waste and improving safety standards.

  • Implementing new processes and technologies through business improvement and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving the site´s manufacturing and lab capabilities. This will include delivering specific improvement projects (engineering, reliability, safety, cost control, process control and energy reduction) across the site.

  • Serving as a key and active member of the Site Leadership Team, working regularly and closely with other leaders (e.g. business, production, R&D, supply chain, engineering, etc.) across the site to institute best practices, identify areas for improvement and development, establish buy-in for operational excellence initiatives required to support the site´s strategyc agenda and drive meaninful change wherever required.

If you...

  • Have a Bachelor´s degree in a Science field or Engineering.

  • Possess 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years experience in a leadership role. Also, having formal process improvement methodoly expertise (DOE, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, etc.). Training and certification in Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

  • Demostrate ability to lead, direct and manage cross functional teams in a fast paced, results oriented environment with technical competence.

  • Possess a high level of initiative and independent decision-making ability as well as a track record of implementing & managing operational excellence initiatives and business improvement processes.

  • Experience working in a union environment is a plus.
