Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center RN Outpatient Cardiology Clinic 3/3/25 in McComb, Mississippi

For Clinic Positions:

Under general supervision of the Clinic Administrator and Office Manager, uses the nursing process to safely coordinate outpatient clinic patient care and education. Workload will be determined by the clinic's appointment schedule, clinic staffing levels, and the needs and priorities of the outpatient clinics. Must be willing to be reassigned within clinic or willing to float to another clinic. Assignment to another clinic is possible and is established by the daily review of overall appointment schedules and staffing needs. The Clinic RN will be assigned up to 40 hours per week according to the needs of the clinic and staff. Some weekend work may be required. The Clinic RN is expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the clinic and organization. Will be responsible to assist with orientation and preceptorship of nursing, technical, and clerical personnel assigned to clinic. Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors. Will be responsible to document total clinic patient care given, review and maintain patient chart per clinic policy, and assist with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into computer system. Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is nonnegotiable and will be the responsibility of the employee to arrange and attend sessions.

For Mississippi Cancer Institute Positions: 

Under general supervision of the MCI Director, the Oncology Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to safely perform oncology patient care. The registered nurse is responsible for the continuity of care for patients receiving treatment. Provides consultation, patient, family and staff education. Works collaboratively with the radiation oncologist, medical oncologist, referring physicians and other staff members associated with the Mississippi Cancer Institute. Work assignments will be determined by adjustment of daily scheduled appointments, and priority needs of the patients, medical director or director. The Oncology Registered Nurse will be assigned to work up to 40 hrs. per week. Weekend work if needed will be rotated accordingly. The Oncology Registered Nurse is expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures and regulations for the department and organization. Must be able to work and relate in a professional non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients and visitors. Will be responsible to document total care given, review and maintain patient chart, and assist with accurate and timely entry of patient data, order and charges into computer system.
