Job Summary: The payroll clerk is responsible in assisting with employee payroll accounting, transactions, and reporting activities. The clerk will ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately. Review timecards for accuracy and assist managers in correcting errors. Address payroll related quires and requests from employees. Handle payroll problems and provide resolutions appropriately and timely. Help develop best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes. Assist with timely and accurate filing of all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, federal and state deposits, quarterly and annual reporting. Responsible for submitting all payments withheld from the employees' checks timely, including but not limited to wage garnishments, AR, retirement, and insurance. Will follow and enforce federal, state, and local laws and keep current on changes. Assists with other projects as needed. Occasional work beyond regular hours may be required. Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non- defensive manner with peers, administration, and visitors.
