U.S. Ordnance Inc. Financial Controller/ CFO in McCarran, Nevada

JOB TITLE: Financial Controller/ CFO

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Manufacturing experience required, needs to have experience with cost accounting.
  • Strong Communication Skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to communicate tactfully with foreign agents and officials in various countries (in English)
  • Strong understanding of good internal controls
  • 5+ years working with an ERP system similar to Epicor
  • Ability to work with the executive team and contribute ideas that will help the Company work more efficiently and effectively

TYPICAL DUTIES Cash Forecasting/Budgeting

  • Maintain the rolling weekly cash forecast for at least 12 months out
  • Work with department heads to prepare the annual budget and meet with them monthly to go over variances
  • Review the 24 month rolling forecast monthly with the senior leadership team and update as necessary
  • Review the cost centers regularly to make sure they are correct and consistent with operations and accurate for future forecasting or budgeting reporting

Financial Statements

  • Review the financial statements monthly for accuracy and completeness as part of the close process
  • Help to implement a consolidating financial statement from the ERP system for quarterly banking requirements
  • Review all unusual or material Journal entries for accuracy
  • Understand monthly variances and field questions from the lenders
  • Prepare financial package for Executive review quarterly and monthly
  • Stay up to date on the changing accounting guidance to ensure we comply with the new GAAP accounting rules
  • Conduct accounting research on significant and complex transactions as needed
  • Ensure proper accounting for inter-company and related party transactions

Epicor System Review

  • Understand all major aspects of Epicor that affect the financial statements and ensure that users are using it appropriately and receive the proper training
  • Address and establish proper segregation of duties in Epicor, review all changes going forward
  • Work with COO to ensure that issues that are identified with the system and its use are being addressed appropriately and in a timely manner

Debt/Letters of Credit

  • Work closely with customers, agents, and the banks to ensure proper bonding/letters of credit our in place to be in compliance with contract terms
  • Monitor the Companys Debt Covenants and make sure they are being followed. Report any violation within the time period required in the loan docs
  • Responsible for making all changes in the banking online access to be verified by dual control access
  • Maintain the relationship with lenders and provide them updates on the business and updated cash needs

Management/Cost Accounting * these items require redundancy of knowledge in the company so not lost with turnover

Responsible for product costing accuracy. Work closely with cost account to ensure the product costing process is working effectively

Review all new account codes to make sure they are set up accurately and capturing pools of specific activity costs so actuals can be compared against the amounts estimated in the overhead allocation calc
