Position Summary: The Multicraft Maintenance Tech is responsible for safely installing, maintaining, and repairing production and quality equipment to achieve maximum production capability while ensuring plant reliability. Conducts all work in accordance with the CARBO Mission Statement and Core Values.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:]{calibri=""}]{new="" roman="" times=""}
- Work rotating shifts
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment - Conveyors, bucket elevators, conveying screws, fluid pumps, etc. Replace and/or repair metal piping and pipe supports.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and/or wiring for equipment.
- Make daily rounds - inspect equipment, perform process flow checks.
- Fabricate new and / or replacement metal parts for equipment.
- Assist with adjusting product screeners as needed. Assist with plant and ground clean up.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Experience in electrical or electronics technology
- Certificate in welding technology
- Experience with mechanical equipment and electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to analyze unexpected process situations and react appropriately.
*Working Conditions: *
Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
Must be able to use discretion
