Kleinfelder, Inc. Project Controls Specialist in Mc Clure, Ohio
Job Description Step into Your New Role As a Project Controls Specialist, you will assist and support project managers and program managers with the development and organization of project data such as costs, budgets, and reporting activities. This position is remote, but will require the occasional visit to our McClure, OH office. Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the data collection and implementation of accounting methods, budget tracking, earned value, status reports, and cost projections based on Project Manager's direction.
- Initiate project set-up and ensure contract compliance.
- Support Project Manager and field team with document management.
- Prepare invoices for submission to client and assist with AR collections.
- Review subcontractor invoice for approval against contracts.
- Maintain budgets for accurate reporting and invoicing.
- Prepare and submit environmental and staffing compliance reports within strict deadlines.
- Review project financial health and coordinate with Project Manager(s) as needed.
- Collaborate with Project Controls team for ongoing training and process improvements.
Position Requirements:
- Associate degree from a two-year college in finance, business, project management, or related field preferred.
- 4 + years of related experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- General knowledge of engineering principles and practices with a preference for water and wastewater management.
- A strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Eager to learn and continuously improve.
- Adapt easily to new situations and challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint, including intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Deltek Vision a plus.
