Commander, Navy Installations SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER in Mayport, Florida

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER within the N3 AT FORCE PROTECTION PROGRAM of NAVSTA MAYPORT FL SEC DET. This position does not meet the definition of Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) and is excluded from coverage as LEO for purposes of the Federal Employment Retirement System-Base Annuity in accordance with 5CFR., Part 842, Subpart H. Responsibilities You will be responsible for course development and for both pre-instructional and instructional actions including overall maintenance and improvement of assigned course areas of law enforcement. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of courses, lesson plans, and examinations and provide guidance to personnel assigned to instruct specialized blocks of instructions. You will provide oversight for the developing and maintaining of personal records for In-Service Training and individual qualifications through both physical records and database records. You will develop performance objectives and standards to aid in properly identifying training needs and requirements of each student. You will monitor/implement the Physical Agility Testing Program. CURRENT EMPLOYEES Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing classroom instruction on practical use of law enforcement equipment techniques; 2) Ensuring course materials are up-to-date and available to personnel; 3) Maintain training records and ensuring personnel and organization meets certifications /qualifications. Outside applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-10) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Providing classroom instruction on practical use of law enforcement equipment techniques; 2) Ensuring course materials are up-to-date and available to personnel; 3) Maintain training records and ensuring personnel and organization meets certifications /qualifications.
