STATUS : þ Full-time o Part-time

CLASIFICATION (FLSA): þ Exempt o Non-Exempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for implementing the career program curriculum for children, youth and adults. It Develop and implement strategies to deliver the program, ensuring teaching and learning processes, the interest and retention of the participants, and compliance with program objectives.

TASKS AND DETAILED WORK ACTIVITIES:

  • Offer all the essential technical, behavioral, and mindset components of career programs for children, youth, and adults.

  • Implement children, youth, and adult program curriculums.

  • Identify and understand the individual learning needs of participating children, youth, and adults and provide individualized education plans to adapt them to different learning styles.

  • Manage, rate, and provide feedback on requested weekly assessments.

  • Promote the program in the community and outside the community.

  • Design and implement, in conjunction with program staff, strategies for recruiting and retaining participants.

  • Promote and monitor participant attendance, class performance, and required assessments.

  • Use technological platforms for data entry and management, in addition to the use of different recruitment mechanisms aimed at participants.

  • Develop relationships with participants; in addition to developing an understanding of the strengths and challenges of the participants, and providing a favorable environment in the classroom.

  • Promote and develop alliances to strengthen the children's program.

  • Maintain participant documentation, folders, files or other information required by the program up to date.

  • Establishes evaluation processes of the impact of the program on the participants and evaluates the programs using different measurement methods to ensure quality.

  • Make oral or written reports about achievements and events related to their functions.

  • Perform any other task requested by the supervisor.

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in elementary education, psychology, counseling, social work, or other related areas from an accredited university.

  • Two (2) years or more working in training or teaching children and adults.

  • Knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum development and design of training, and teaching for individuals and groups at the educational and developmental level of the participants.

  • Ability to analyze problems, strategic planning, and lead projects.

  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

  • Knowledge and proficiency in managing financial resources such as reports and legal documents.

  • Understand and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and portions in practical situations.

  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

  • Ability to communicate information in speaking so others will understand.

  • Ability to identify and understand the speech at any hierarchical level.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. May reach above shoulder height or below the waist and lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday must be able to lift 15 pounds and use proper lifting techniques.
