Position will be responsible to set up and operate a variety of production machinery in a cell to produce parts and products within specifications and quality standards. Perform first piece inspection. Load parts into jigs, fixtures, or between centers, load raw material into machine feed system or holding devices. Drill, tap, bore, counterbore, turn, face, thread, chamfer, mill, ream, slot, and similar operations to close tolerances. Check tools for damage, evaluate and report needed repairs, replace broken and dull tools, and make required adjustments. Periodically inspect parts to maintain specifications and quality standards.
