Position Title: Customer Service and Inventory Associate\ Reports To: Plant Manager / Customer Service and Inventory Specialist\ ________________________________________\ Job Overview\ A Customer Service and Inventory Associate is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing pallet shipments, maintaining pallet and lumber inventories, addressing variances, and ensuring warehouse organization and proper cell identification. Key duties include verifying shipment documents, determining shipping priorities, assigning work, ensuring proper warehouse organization and distribution, determining storage space requirements, inspecting loading and unloading operations, and maintaining accurate records.\ ________________________________________\ Responsibilities and Duties\ Pallet Organization: Ensure proper pallet organization by condition, batch, color, and material. Verify that all cells are correctly organized in height, width, and depth, following PackIQ/Chep requirements. Ensure all cells are identified properly and adhere to the designated color codes for each batch.\ FIFO Procedures: Ensure pallets and lumber are organized and that First-In, First-Out (FIFO) procedures are consistently followed.\ Equipment Inspections: Maintain daily equipment inspection records, completing inspections once per shift.\ Documentation Verification: Verify all inbound and outbound shipment documentation. Ensure operators report all received materials and fill out forms accurately.\ Yard and Trailer Organization: Maintain organization in the front and back yards and manage trailer inventories.\ Shift Transition: Leave the work area clean and organized for the following shift.\ PPE and Supplies Inventory: Assist with the PPE and supplies inventory. Scan and send any packing lists as needed.\ Support: Assist the Plant Manager or Customer Service and Inventory Specialist with any requests as required.\ Inventory Management: Perform and maintain pallets and lumber inventory, ensuring accurate records are kept.\ Daily KPI and Variance Conciliations: Track and reconcile daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and variances.\ ________________________________________\ Qualifications\ High School Diploma or equivalent.\ Experience in a high-speed work environment.\ Strong organizational skills with basic computer knowledge.\ Analytical mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team.\ Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
