Description We are offering a long term contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Night Manager in Maumee, Ohio. This role primarily focuses on overseeing the safety management, dispatch operations, and maintenance oversight during the night shift in our organization. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient dispatching of drivers.

Responsibilities: • Oversee and enforce safety protocols to comply with local, state, and federal transportation laws. • Promptly investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary. • Utilize telematics systems to monitor driver behavior and provide feedback to improve performance. • Collaborate with internal departments to implement safety initiatives and training programs. • Prioritize and coordinate the dispatch of drivers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. • Communicate effectively with drivers, providing instructions, updates, and support throughout their shifts. • Monitor route efficiency, making adjustments as needed to optimize productivity and minimize delays. • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests, striving to provide excellent service and maintain positive relationships. • Use transportation management systems to track shipments, update statuses, and generate reports. • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for the trucking fleet to ensure roadworthiness. • Coordinate with maintenance staff and external service providers to schedule repairs and inspections. • Maintain and document accurate maintenance records for regulatory compliance. Requirements • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work night shifts and manage responsibilities effectively during these hours • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations • Must adhere to company policies and maintain professionalism at all times.
