Robert Half Legal Assistant in Matthews, North Carolina

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant in Matthews, North Carolina. This role is within the legal industry and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our team with a variety of legal tasks, including client relations, calendar management, and case management.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process and manage client files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Handle case management duties, utilizing tools such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS).

• Support high-end estate planning activities, including drafting legal documents and confirming appointments.

• Provide administrative assistance, including calendar management for team members.

• Ensure effective client relations by communicating effectively, returning calls promptly, and handling client inquiries.

• Support the opening and closing of client files in coordination with the PR office.

• Manage briefing and billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Use CompuLaw for various legal tasks and case management.

• Assist in criminal defense litigation and real estate law matters.

• Handle office-related tasks, including printing and copying documents.

• Maintain a detail oriented and resourceful approach in all tasks, demonstrating a commitment to providing a high level of service. Requirements • Proficiency in Aderant software for legal practice management

• Expertise in Adobe Acrobat for document handling and processing

• Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for real estate transactions

• Experience with Case Management Software to manage legal cases efficiently

• Knowledge in using CompuLaw for calendar and docket management

• Ability to handle Billing Functions in a legal setting

• Experience in Briefing, summarizing and presenting case details

• Proficiency in Calendar Management to organize and schedule appointments

• Strong skills in Client Relations, with the ability to maintain positive relationships

• A basic understanding of Consumer Electronics for efficient use of office equipment

• Experience in Criminal Defense Litigation, dealing with the defense of individuals and companies charged with criminal conduct

• Knowledge in Criminal Defense, including the legal rights of the accused and the legal process for criminal cases

• Expertise in Real Estate Law, including property deeds, mortgages, property taxes, and zoning laws.
