A Business Analyst (BA) for mobile applications, custom applications, and Marketing Cloud is a versatile role that bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This BA is responsible for understanding the business requirements, translating them into clear and concise specifications, and collaborating with development teams to ensure successful implementation. Key responsibilities include eliciting and analyzing requirements, creating user stories and acceptance criteria, collaborating with UX designers, and creating detailed documentation. A successful BA in this role must possess a strong foundation in business analysis principles, combined with a keen ability to adapt to the specific needs of each project. By understanding the unique challenges and opportunities presented by each product, the BA can effectively bridge the gap between business and technology. Job Responsibilities: -Product and Business Knowledge Understand Business Needs: Understand the core business objectives and how this/these product(s) will contribute to achieving them. Understanding Product: Understand the features and functionality of each product and how the end user experiences the product -Requirements Gathering Intake Requests from Stakeholders: Receive requests from various stakeholders, including product owners, end-users, and internal teams and collaborate with the lead Product Owner as they prioritize requests Elicit Requirements: Be proactive in gathering detailed requirements from stakeholders, including functional, non-functional, and user experience (UX) requirements. Stakeholders may vary by product and project. -Communicate Requirements Create User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Develop detailed acceptance criteria for each user story to define the specific conditions that must be met to consider the story complete. Effectively Communicate Requirements: Clearly communicate requirements to the development team so they can break down complex requirements into smaller, manageable units and identify potential conflicts or ambiguities. -Collaboration and Communication Communicate Effectively: Interact with various stakeholders, including developers, testers, and product owners, to ensure everyone understands the requirements and expectations. -Thorough Documentation Create Documentation: Develop clear and concise documentation, such as functional specifications, user manuals, and test cases. Define Test Scenarios: Create clear test cases for the QA team to verify that the deliverable meets the specified requirements. -User Journey Flows and Design Create Process Flows: Be able to map out user journeys (low fidelity) to visualize how users will interact with a feature deliverable. Collaborate with UX Designers: Work closely with UX designers sharing with them feature requirements so they can create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
