The Analyst, Regulatory Affairs is responsible for obtaining and maintaining federal/state/territory registrations of Scotts products. This individual will develop registration strategies in order to meet the timing needs of the business with minimal oversight. This individual continues to develop internal and external relationships with key stakeholders. In addition, this position will identify regulatory issues that will impact our business. What you will do in this role: * Participate in team meetings and support new product launches or product changes. * Prepares and submits product applications and/or registrations along with required maintenance activities (new registrations, amendments, notifications, etc.) with minimal oversight. * Review and approve labels and labeling in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. * Develops regulatory strategies intended to support execution of the business plan with minimal oversight. * Responds to requests and other correspondence from regulatory agencies with minimal oversight. * Keep current on regulatory requirements through self study/attendance at conferences/training seminars. * Interacts and negotiates with appropriate regulatory authorities on registrations and issues relevant to the business with minimal oversight. * Monitors government regulatory activities and begins to build an influencer network by representing Scotts at meetings and conferences with appropriate external organizations.. What you will need to be successful: * Detail oriented to ensure alignment and execution of business strategies * Ability to interpret regulations * Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment where success depends on internal and external collaborations. * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Proven success with building strategic internal work relationships * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement * Possess Intellectual curiosity * Bachelor degree in science, government affairs, or technical disciplines * 3 or more years of relevant experience which may include government affairs, environmental science, product development, plant sciences, toxicology, etc. * Solid knowledge of state and/or federal government regulations. * Solid knowledge of time and/or project management principles. * Solid understanding of Scotts company product categories is a plus. * Awareness of other relevant chemical regulations (e.g. OSHA, VOC, Prop 65). The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $65,900.00 - $77,500.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
