Summary/Objectives:

The CAD associate position uses CAD equipment to provide support to engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for manufacture. Makes copies of drawings and maintains information regarding changes to database.

Essential Functions:

• Work with CAD systems creating, modifying and releasing drawings and word drawings for use by other departments and customers.
• Perform Complete Full Scale Mylar Part Checklist and Routing audits
• Prepare XYZ reports for new parts/quote review.
• Manage sequence change process, log, ensure all required signatures, complete and retain all records as well as update KPI.
• Support Full Scale Mylar needs for floor.
• Perform Monthly Mylar audits
• Perform Time Studies as requested on floor.  Provide data to Engineers for analysis.
• Process New Part Sheets, log into system, provide copy to program manager.  Make necessary updates to routing per new part sheet process/product validation notes.
• Self-check own work for completeness, accuracy, compliance to standards, fits and stack-ups.
• Work from drawings, sketches or scanned images, or specifications.
• Use the accepted drawing standards as guidelines.
• Sets up and maintains an organized file system for production drawings.
• Assist in the quoting process as needed for customer and external providers as needed.
• Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities.
• Provides training to other employees in areas of expertise as needed.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
• Communicate with other departments as necessary
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Adhere to all company rules and policies
